DatasetID 43
Name Hastings Insects in Alcohol Vials
Description A large collection of insects in alcohol vials housed at the Hastings Natural History Reservation was packed and moved to the Essig Museum of Entomology by Cheryl Barr (Museum Scientist) and Bill Shepard (Visiting Scholar) on 15 October 2003. The collection was compiled by resident researcher Betty Davis from the 1930's-1960's. According to Cheryl Barr, specimens in the fluid collection are, for the most part, identified only to family with the exception of the orthopteroids, and therefore are of limited value dataset-wise.
