Comments Early records of this species indicate a clustering around residential areas and main
roads but also noted observations around School Hill, Big Creek, around Upper Barn,
on the Arnold property, Red Hill, and Poison Hill. During the 1974 survey, species was
also found at Haystack Hill and Arnold Field indicating a wide spread distribution. It is
assumed that they can also be found at Poison Oak Ridge and Post Flat. Species can be
found in a variety of habitats including Q. agrifolia, oak woodland, oak-madrone
forest, savanna, mixed-sclerophyll forest, and foothill woodland. Species can be found
from February to November with a peak from April to July and extremes on 27 January
1941 and 4 December 1946.
